A group of 18 Sixth Form Germanists had a terrific week in the Berlin sunshine over half-term.

Mornings were spent improving their language skills in joint lessons with É«ÖÐÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Girls’ School (SPGS) at a language school in Prenzlauer Berg, before heading out into Berlin to learn about the city and its history in the afternoon. This included tours of the Reichstag, the Olympic Stadium and a stroll through Park Sanssouci in Potsdam. As well as sampling traditional German cuisine, evenings were used to go bowling and to the cinema, with the highlight being a trip to watch the local ice hockey team (Die Berliner Eisbären) beating a team from Wolfsburg in overtime at the Uber Arena.
