A team of eight SPS pupils participated in the LSE Schools Debating Competition on Saturday, 30 November. The pairings were Gabe (Sixth Form) and Faris (Lower Eighth), Harper (Lower Eighth) and Ian (Lower Eighth), Adrian (Lower Eighth) and Aryaman (Lower Eighth), and Yidong (Fourth Form) and Alexander (Lower Eighth). At the end of a brilliant day of debating, Adrian and Aryaman were jointly awarded the Best Speaker prize鈥攁 remarkable achievement鈥攁nd finished second overall out of 70 teams, having qualified in the top spot for the Gold Final. More importantly, the entire team displayed outstanding camaraderie, sportsmanship, and magnanimity throughout the day.
