Congratulations to Rohan (Fifth Form music scholar) who performed a Dittersdorf double bass concerto with the Tyneside Chamber Orchestra at St Mary’s Church, Ponteland, on 30 November.

This provided an excellent opportunity to showcase an under-represented instrument in a concerto setting with a highly regarded orchestra, as well as a valuable experience for Rohan, who is actively involved in the Music Department through orchestras, jazz groups, and the Recorder Society, of which he is the founder and coach.
