From time to time, pupils may experience worries or anxieties and it can be helpful to talk to someone in confidence.
É«ÖÐÉ«ÊÓƵ’s School
The School offers a confidential peer-support service called ‘Anything2Say’ and has an open door policy for boys to talk to their tutor, Undermaster and other relevant staff at any time.
For those with more complex needs or concerns, our two highly experienced school counsellors are on hand. Professor Robert Bor and Dr Sara Chaudry attend school each week in term time and pupils are able to book appointments through the School nurse or their tutor.
É«ÖÐÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Juniors
The School’s counselling service is designed to complement the strengths of our pastoral system.
Occasionally, there are times when the support of an expert counsellor is helpful in resolving situations that are causing stress or anxiety. In these circumstances, our professional counsellor is available to speak to pupils and parents.
The School Counsellor at É«ÖÐÉ«ÊÓƵ’s Juniors is Alyson Maunder MBACP. She is in school Monday to Friday from 8.00am to 4.00pm and sees pupils and parents confidentially in the School Counselling Office.
Referrals, which are made with the parents’ consent, may be initiated by the pupil, parents or suggested by the School. In certain circumstances, the Counsellor may recommend to the parents that the pupil should be referred to an external agency, particularly if further assessment is deemed to be beneficial.
