The School Council is the forum for pupils to make suggestions and comments about their school. The issues raised vary greatly.
Be it a tweak to the lunchtime activities rota or a suggestion about library opening hours, the important thing is that pupils have a recognised route for communicating their views, and that their opinions are listened to. Staff will also often take the opportunity to canvass opinion from the Council on new initiatives or ideas they may be planning.
Minutes of each meeting are published on the school intranet as well as being passed to the Head for consideration and comment.
The 27 Form Representatives who attend each meeting are supported by the Chairman and Secretary who are elected on a yearly basis.
