Monday was a drive from Pagosa Springs, CO to Mesa Verde National Park. Mesa Verde is the only NP that protects man-made structures in addition to natural resources. 800-1200 years ago, Native Americans inhabited this area creating villages on the mesas and building over 400 cliff dwellings. We were able to visit several of these cliff.
